Owen turned 4 months yesterday! It's hard for me to believe that he's already that big! I mean he is smiley, and laughs, and drools! He's just such a delight!
Here's his 4 month shirt. Believe me, I was tempted beyond belief to do another owl. REALLY tempted. But I resisted. The end result is cute!
Appliqued frog, and appliqued "4". Love it.
Then I've been knitting away. My friend Shannon liked Owen's blessing outfit. So I asked her if she wanted me to knit one for her son's baptism. He was born 8 days after Owen!

(flash wasn't ready for this one!)
I'm SO excited to see pictures of little Graham in this special outfit!

Baby Owen's Blessing Outfit &hearts
So I've always wanted a handmade blessing outfit. ALWAYS. However, not knowing who to ask to make one, or how to go about doing it, I just went to Babies R Us and bought one. This time? I can knit! Hallelujah! So I decided to knit Owen's little blessing outfit.
I'd been lusting over a certain pattern by SMSS. I decided it would be perfect for a blessing outfit, and went for it! I splurged on the yarn, and ordered much raved MadelineTosh Vintage.
I was really nervous to cast on, for some reason. Well, a new cast on technique was one of the hindrances, which actually turned out to be pretty fabulous. (Provincial cast on for those wondering)
It knit up perfectly, easily, the pattern was incredibly clearly written, and easy to follow. I couldn't be happier with the finished product!
The darling little hat!
Button Detail

Definitely a win! Owen's being blessed today, so I will take some pictures of my adorable baby boy in his sweet outfit later today!

Finished Hudson Hat!
I finished Scott's hat! I think it turned out reallllly well. It's the first one (Hudson Hat) that I've actually finished completely, tassel and all! Take a gooood look at that tassel! ;)
And I'm now licensed to sell Hudson Hats! Yay me!

Two finished projects!
So I finished Julian's Hudson Hat...but he won't wear it. It's too 'scary' for him! What the heck? So now I'm trying to convince him it's a "Candy Cane" hat, since his Candy Corn Cap is such a popular one with him!
This is the one I knit yesterday, for me!!! I love knitting things for me, because they are perfect! Like I pick the exact colors I want, and it's just great!
(Please excuse my hair, I took these this morning)

Hudson Hat take 2
So generally speaking, I'm not stupid. Granted, I'm no genius either. But this Hudson hat continues to elude me! I have started it twice, and the ear flaps are backwards on it, BOTH TIMES! Though, through trial and error, I'm able to figure out what the hizeck I did wrong! The solution?! Knitting the last row on the ear flap, should have purled it!

Newest Project
I've made 4 candy corn caps, and think I've pretty much perfected the pattern. I gave one to my neighbor's daughter, so if she posts pics, I'll see if I can put them on here. Anyway, I'm going to work on something called a 'hudson hat'. I bought the pattern yesterday and so far have finished an ear flap and I-cord. Yay!
Here is what a hudson hat looks like:
I'm going to work on the other ear flap, and I-cord, and then comes the brim. The only problem I forsee, the pattern calls for 16" size 7 circular needles, and I have only got size 7 Double Pointed Needles, so hopefully I'll be able to work it out with just the DPN. We'll see. Perhaps a trip to Michael's is in order. I looked at Joann's yesterday and they didn't have circulars in anything smaller than a size 8. Plus, I have a coupon for Michael's for 40% off any regular priced item. For yarn selection, I much prefer Michael's over Joanns.
So it might seem like I only knit. I have recently started knitting, in July. So right now it's my obsession. I am also going to make some organization boxes, and want to paint my living room. I have endless amounts of projects to complete! This blog should get crazy!
