Something Sweet for Someone Sweet

This hat reminds me of watermelon, which just so happens to be my favorite fruit.

This is for my friend's daughter Avery.

Clarifications!

So some asked (BARRY) what exactly applique is.

These are some examples of my newly acquired applique skilz (newly acquired being the key)

I also made one for Julian that I LOVE. It's a tie, but it's lime zebra! :)

Also I will be writing down the number of entrants, and putting the slips into a cup or bowl. Julian, my 3 year old, will pick the number, and hopefully be able to identify said number :) I will then post the winner on the blog, and will need address (unless the lucky winner is a Maple Grovian), and will get those details via email! :) I'm excited!

The Wanna Be Crafty-BLOG CANDY {that means FREE}

So, I've said before I wanted to do something, and give it away for {free}. Here it is folk(s). My blog candy.

I am going to applique a shirt for you. Now remember, I'm just learning, so the seams might not be perfectly alligned, but I promise the shirt will be wearable and cute {at least cute enough for my kids to wear}!

So here's what you do.

Leave me a comment, with your name. You will get to choose from my available fabrics, {And to be fair, I have kind of a lot of fabric, but I might go out and buy something new for you!} and I will purchase a shirt in the size you need.

The winner will be selected ONE WEEK from today, that's NEXT SUNDAY!

Julian will help me. So that's it. The Wanna-Be's Blog Candy!!!

Some finished projects

I've been pretty busy this week, knitting, and breaking in my new sewing machine.

I'm a huge fan of the appliqued shirts. I am learning how to do them myself, to save some extra $$ :)

A set for my best friend's little girl, GiGi!

The clips were made by by good friend Jen {Sugar and Spice}

And then these shorties are for a customer, she's testing for me. I'm excited to knit up the rest of the goodies she sent! These are Selah's First Love. I'm in love.

Jessica's Hudson <3

This is the most beautiful Hudson I think that I have ever created. This is entirely from Dasching Dachs scraps.

This is my current work in progress. Some Selah First Love shorties! I'm excited to knit this yarn up!

For The Record...

...The London shorties are in fact testers. Thank you so much for your concern, Meg. Now please, stop posting comments and reading my blog. While I appreciate help, and suggestions for bettering my work, (who doesn't?!) I do not appreciate being bullied, and being told that I need to learn to knit.

I am the owner of this blog, therefore I can, and will delete or moderate any comments from this point forward.

Thanks.

London Stripes = delicious

You may remember my friend Erica's Mad Skilz Shorties. These are also going to her. They match the London diaper. Gorgeous diaper, gorgeous colors, fabulous shorties.

Erica's Mad Skilz shorties!

Erica is a goodmama just like me! :) Goodmama has a diaper made of this fabric, and called it Mad Skilz. These are the shorties to match the diaper!! Stay tuned for another pair of London-esque shorties later this week!
