Occasionally. And I do mean occasionally.
My friend Crystal's little girl is turning one! Crystal is a fabulous baker, and makes these delectable looking cupcakes. (She lives in Jersey so I've never actually tried a cupcake, but I can only imagine!)
So I made this cute little cupcake birthday shirt! (The colors look awful. AWFUL, but I think it turned out pretty cute!)
Black shirt, Hot Pink Polka Dot bottom and candle, White Minky 'frosting' and yellow flame!

Gabriel's Yellow Scarf
I got this FABULOUS yellow scarf and hat for Christmas this year. I love it so much, and I wear it almost every day!
Gabe, my fashion forward little guy, was jealous. Oh so jealous. He too wanted a yellow scarf.
So I knit him one.
Super easy pattern, "Mistaken Rib Stitch" on Lion Brand Wool. It was -1 this morning when I dropped the bigs off at preschool. Good thing I finished it, huh?

Busy Little Bee
I've been a knitter!
In the past week I've finished FOUR projects! Ok so 2 of them were newborn hats, but whatever :) It still counts!
Alisha's "Boyfriend" Scarf. I didn't finish it in time for her actual BIRTHDAY, but I was able to give it to her at her party! So yay!
A pair o' Pixie Hats
And a cocoon/photography prop
I'm working now on a hat for my sister's birthday, and then finishing up a blanket I started a (hide) YEAR AGO!!
After that?! Who knows! All I know is that it will be super fun!

Old Jeans
I have a pair of {expensive} jeans. I wore them often for almost 4 years. Then they got a hole, simply from wear. Now it's not in a place that I can still wear the jeans. They are unfortunately, unwearable.
They have silly, sentimental memories for me. I bought them with my sister-in-law. She totally talked me into them. And I loved them for years. And am currently DYING for another pair. {David Kahn if you're wondering}
What kind of projects are there for old jeans. I can't throw them away. I don't need hole-y jeans sitting in my closet. What can I do with them?

Drool City
No project pictures yet. I need to get cracking on this scarf for my friend Alisha! Her birthday is tomorrow! I hope I get it finished!
But I did want to share something completely amazing with you.
Behold. The beauty of this yarn is absolutely insane. I know. It's yarn, but seriously, look at it. That's some purdy yarn :)
YUM

Elizabeth's Birthday Scarf
This year, I am going to try to knit/make everyone's birthday presents. Obviously for my kids, they won't be so excited. But for other people?! Heck yes. My dear friend Elizabeth's birthday is coming up. I knit her this scarf!
January is a busy month for birthdays!
Elizabeth is the 18th, she lives in WA though, so I will have to ship it.

Baby Owen's Blessing Outfit &hearts
So I've always wanted a handmade blessing outfit. ALWAYS. However, not knowing who to ask to make one, or how to go about doing it, I just went to Babies R Us and bought one. This time? I can knit! Hallelujah! So I decided to knit Owen's little blessing outfit.
I'd been lusting over a certain pattern by SMSS. I decided it would be perfect for a blessing outfit, and went for it! I splurged on the yarn, and ordered much raved MadelineTosh Vintage.
I was really nervous to cast on, for some reason. Well, a new cast on technique was one of the hindrances, which actually turned out to be pretty fabulous. (Provincial cast on for those wondering)
It knit up perfectly, easily, the pattern was incredibly clearly written, and easy to follow. I couldn't be happier with the finished product!
The darling little hat!
Button Detail
Definitely a win! Owen's being blessed today, so I will take some pictures of my adorable baby boy in his sweet outfit later today!
