Someone else likes owls! Yay!
I met my friend Jill almost SIX years ago. And when I say met, I mean, online. In a forum for pregnant people. Wow. That was a long time ago. Her little girl is celebrating her FIFTH birthday in March, just like my Julian.
Her niece is also celebrating her first birthday! So fun! I asked her if she wanted some birthday girl shirts, and she did.
We had a busy weekend. My wonderful husband painted my living room, so much crafting wasn't done. BUT I did manage to squeak out a camera strap cover! I've been lusting over those found on Etsy, and after some serious research (Ok just a random google) I found a fabulous tutorial! Saved myself $30!
You can find the tutorial here.
Sorry for the not so stellar photo, this was taken with my phone.
I'm finishing up the last of the teacher valentine's tonight, so Julian can deliver them tomorrow. Pictures to come!

Gabriel's Yellow Scarf
I got this FABULOUS yellow scarf and hat for Christmas this year. I love it so much, and I wear it almost every day!
Gabe, my fashion forward little guy, was jealous. Oh so jealous. He too wanted a yellow scarf.
So I knit him one.
Super easy pattern, "Mistaken Rib Stitch" on Lion Brand Wool. It was -1 this morning when I dropped the bigs off at preschool. Good thing I finished it, huh?

Busy Little Bee
I've been a knitter!
In the past week I've finished FOUR projects! Ok so 2 of them were newborn hats, but whatever :) It still counts!
Alisha's "Boyfriend" Scarf. I didn't finish it in time for her actual BIRTHDAY, but I was able to give it to her at her party! So yay!
A pair o' Pixie Hats
And a cocoon/photography prop
I'm working now on a hat for my sister's birthday, and then finishing up a blanket I started a (hide) YEAR AGO!!
After that?! Who knows! All I know is that it will be super fun!

Elizabeth's Birthday Scarf
This year, I am going to try to knit/make everyone's birthday presents. Obviously for my kids, they won't be so excited. But for other people?! Heck yes. My dear friend Elizabeth's birthday is coming up. I knit her this scarf!
January is a busy month for birthdays!
Elizabeth is the 18th, she lives in WA though, so I will have to ship it.

Baby Owen's Blessing Outfit &hearts
So I've always wanted a handmade blessing outfit. ALWAYS. However, not knowing who to ask to make one, or how to go about doing it, I just went to Babies R Us and bought one. This time? I can knit! Hallelujah! So I decided to knit Owen's little blessing outfit.
I'd been lusting over a certain pattern by SMSS. I decided it would be perfect for a blessing outfit, and went for it! I splurged on the yarn, and ordered much raved MadelineTosh Vintage.
I was really nervous to cast on, for some reason. Well, a new cast on technique was one of the hindrances, which actually turned out to be pretty fabulous. (Provincial cast on for those wondering)
It knit up perfectly, easily, the pattern was incredibly clearly written, and easy to follow. I couldn't be happier with the finished product!
The darling little hat!
Button Detail
Definitely a win! Owen's being blessed today, so I will take some pictures of my adorable baby boy in his sweet outfit later today!

Skunk?
So I've had this yarn in my stash for a couple weeks, waiting for Kori's name to come up! It knit up beautifully! It's Southwest Spectrum's Morning Petals. I'm kind of in love!
(I always take/post pictures of my items before blocking!)
Folded
And SKUNK!
I love love love duplicate stitching. I love that I'm able to add something special to an otherwise blank canvas! Thanks so much for letting me knit for you Kori!
I'm working on something special for Dani right now!
This is a custom colorway by Hippy Pippy

Busy knitter this weekend!
Here are a few things I worked on and finished up this weekend.
This is WSK (Western Sky Knits) Peace Baby
These longies are for my BFF Barb. I love her and her little Benjamuffin so much! I also LOVE the cargo pocket!
So I have boys. I love my boys, but there's definitely a part of me that wants/needs a girl! This yarn, #1 reason why!
Ky Baby Knits "This is how much I love you" with pink (TIHMILY)
And another reason to have a girl
Ky Baby Knits Emily colorway
I also made this!
It's called a Calorimetry. It's a headband of sorts! This is going to live in Sunny AZ! :)

Woodland in Spring
You know how when you knit, sew, or do anything you have a particular brand you just LOVE?? It's like no matter what, the finished product always looks just right when you use your product? For me, it's Mosaic Moon yarn. I LOVE it.
This is Morwena's Woodland in Spring colorway {before blocking}

The many many many things I've been working on.
So, MCZ is my favorite fabric/print ever! I have a diaper in this print, and it's just so cute!
This set is darling, in my opinion! The Tie Tee is just so cute with the matching knit shorties!
This yarn? Delish! It's by Ky Baby Knits. The colorway? Edward. Yes, that's right. Twilight yarn! I'm in love. Swoon with me.
Another cute skirty! This one by Hippy Pippy in her Carnivale colorway. I love this yarn. It's called Marr Haven, and it's heavenly to work with, and I can only imagine how heavenly it is to wear it.
Blog readers...meet Emmy, Emmy meet my blog readers. This has been my little pet project. I've wanted to do this since I learned how to knit a skirty! This is another Hippy Pippy colorway, Vivi. It's on Marr Haven, which makes it extra-specially special!
Emmy is basically a skirty with super skinny longies underneath. I'm in love.
These are some shorties for a boy named Sterling
Some yummeh longies for a tall, dark and handsome little boy named Brodie
They're really long! I told you he was tall! It's Retro Baby's Ro-Sham-Bo colorway on the super yum Cestari.
Next up! Some yummy capris for my dear friend Jenn's daughter Bella. I actually made 2 sets of these capris, one for Jenn and another for Jenn's friend Colleen! Matchy matchy! You know I LOVE matching!
Both pair folded all cute!
Lollipop Capris
The cuff
The set
The Shirt
Crocus Capris
Chrissy's yummies!
A skirty, some longies and a butterfly tee thrown in for fun!
The shirt! {in hindsight, I would have put something solid in the middle for the body. Doh!}
Longies
The skirty
Birthday Girl longies!
