Ahhhhh!

I'm so in love with these pictures. My BFF Stacy, as you probably know, is an AMAZING photographer. Her little guy's 1st birthday was in March, and she planned the birthday party so we could go! It was a Where The Wild Things Are party, and OH MAN, it was AMAZING! She asked me to knit this hat for her little Jackie, and of course I said yes! And decided to knit him a Small Things Romper for him too! In the pebble grey color, it just SCREAMS Max, to me anyway!

Check out her little Jack in the outfit and hat I knit.

A couple things!

Owen turned 4 months yesterday! It's hard for me to believe that he's already that big! I mean he is smiley, and laughs, and drools! He's just such a delight!

Here's his 4 month shirt. Believe me, I was tempted beyond belief to do another owl. REALLY tempted. But I resisted. The end result is cute!

Appliqued frog, and appliqued "4". Love it.

Then I've been knitting away. My friend Shannon liked Owen's blessing outfit. So I asked her if she wanted me to knit one for her son's baptism. He was born 8 days after Owen!

Lucky Number 100!

This is my 100th Crafty Post! That should mean something signifigant. Like a giveaway. or something. But I'm too busy! So look for a giveaway some day, in the near, not so distant, future!

Instead of anything exciting, this is Gabe's 3rd Birthday Shirt. He had a circus party. It was SO fun!

Hooty-Hoot!

Someone else likes owls! Yay!

I met my friend Jill almost SIX years ago. And when I say met, I mean, online. In a forum for pregnant people. Wow. That was a long time ago. Her little girl is celebrating her FIFTH birthday in March, just like my Julian.

Her niece is also celebrating her first birthday! So fun! I asked her if she wanted some birthday girl shirts, and she did.

We had a busy weekend. My wonderful husband painted my living room, so much crafting wasn't done. BUT I did manage to squeak out a camera strap cover! I've been lusting over those found on Etsy, and after some serious research (Ok just a random google) I found a fabulous tutorial! Saved myself $30!

You can find the tutorial here.

Sorry for the not so stellar photo, this was taken with my phone.

I'm finishing up the last of the teacher valentine's tonight, so Julian can deliver them tomorrow. Pictures to come!

The Long Awaited 3 Month Shirt

Ok, so I may be stretching the truth. You haven't been waiting that long! But here it is!

I pretty much LOVE how it turned out!

OK I lied

Owen's shirt isn't next. I whipped this up for my cousin's little girl (that makes her my 2nd cousin, right?)

Andrea's Heart Shirt

I'm mailing the boys' valentine's so I figured what better than a Valentine's Day shirt to go with it! My boys don't appreciate the pinkness of V-day :) Barry will be happy that instead of buying MORE fabric, I'm using up what I have. This is progress, right?

Birthday Shirt!

My friend Sandi asked me to sew her up a 1st birthday shirt. Her friend has a daughter that's turning one soon! I have boys, so I LOVE the chance to do something girly! &hearts

Owl-y First Birthday

I'm a little obsessed with owls right now. My obsession may or may not be reaching unhealthy levels.

Up next on the blog? Owen's 3 month shirt! Stay tuned!

What?! You do things other than knit?

Occasionally. And I do mean occasionally.

My friend Crystal's little girl is turning one! Crystal is a fabulous baker, and makes these delectable looking cupcakes. (She lives in Jersey so I've never actually tried a cupcake, but I can only imagine!)

So I made this cute little cupcake birthday shirt! (The colors look awful. AWFUL, but I think it turned out pretty cute!)

Black shirt, Hot Pink Polka Dot bottom and candle, White Minky 'frosting' and yellow flame!

Gabriel's Yellow Scarf

I got this FABULOUS yellow scarf and hat for Christmas this year. I love it so much, and I wear it almost every day!

Gabe, my fashion forward little guy, was jealous. Oh so jealous. He too wanted a yellow scarf.

So I knit him one.

Super easy pattern, "Mistaken Rib Stitch" on Lion Brand Wool. It was -1 this morning when I dropped the bigs off at preschool. Good thing I finished it, huh?

Busy Little Bee

I've been a knitter!

In the past week I've finished FOUR projects! Ok so 2 of them were newborn hats, but whatever :) It still counts!

Alisha's "Boyfriend" Scarf. I didn't finish it in time for her actual BIRTHDAY, but I was able to give it to her at her party! So yay!

Old Jeans

I have a pair of {expensive} jeans. I wore them often for almost 4 years. Then they got a hole, simply from wear. Now it's not in a place that I can still wear the jeans. They are unfortunately, unwearable.

They have silly, sentimental memories for me. I bought them with my sister-in-law. She totally talked me into them. And I loved them for years. And am currently DYING for another pair. {David Kahn if you're wondering}

What kind of projects are there for old jeans. I can't throw them away. I don't need hole-y jeans sitting in my closet. What can I do with them?

Drool City

No project pictures yet. I need to get cracking on this scarf for my friend Alisha! Her birthday is tomorrow! I hope I get it finished!

But I did want to share something completely amazing with you.

Behold. The beauty of this yarn is absolutely insane. I know. It's yarn, but seriously, look at it. That's some purdy yarn :)

Elizabeth's Birthday Scarf

This year, I am going to try to knit/make everyone's birthday presents. Obviously for my kids, they won't be so excited. But for other people?! Heck yes. My dear friend Elizabeth's birthday is coming up. I knit her this scarf!

January is a busy month for birthdays!

Elizabeth is the 18th, she lives in WA though, so I will have to ship it.

Baby Owen's Blessing Outfit &hearts

So I've always wanted a handmade blessing outfit. ALWAYS. However, not knowing who to ask to make one, or how to go about doing it, I just went to Babies R Us and bought one. This time? I can knit! Hallelujah! So I decided to knit Owen's little blessing outfit.

I'd been lusting over a certain pattern by SMSS. I decided it would be perfect for a blessing outfit, and went for it! I splurged on the yarn, and ordered much raved MadelineTosh Vintage.

I was really nervous to cast on, for some reason. Well, a new cast on technique was one of the hindrances, which actually turned out to be pretty fabulous. (Provincial cast on for those wondering)

It knit up perfectly, easily, the pattern was incredibly clearly written, and easy to follow. I couldn't be happier with the finished product!
